And she went to inquire of Jehovah. Gen. 25:23 And Jehovah said to her, Two nations are in your womb, / And two peoples shall be separated from your bowels. / And the one people shall be stronger than the other people. / And the older shall serve the younger. Gen. 31:38 These twenty years have I been with you; your ewes and your female goats have not miscarried, and I have not eaten the rams of your flocks. Gen. 31:39 That which was torn by beasts I did not bring to you; I bore the loss of it myself. Of my hand you required it, whether stolen by day or stolen by night. Gen. 32:28 And He said, Your name will no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed. Gen. 32:29 And Jacob asked Him and said, Please tell me Your name. But He said, Why is it that you ask My name? And He blessed him there. Gen. 32:30 And Jacob called the name of the place Peniel, for, he said, I have seen God face to face, and yet my life has been preserved.
