DESIGNATION BY THE MINGLED SPIRIT
1我们已经看过，神的福音乃是儿子名分的福音。这就是说，神的心意是要藉著福音产生许多的儿子。要产生这许多的儿子，就牵涉到神格三者的经纶。父这源头是在子这流道里面；而子作为父的具体化身，如今乃是在那灵的流里面。因此，那灵乃是三一神的涌流。电流怎样是流动中的电，照样，三一神的灵也是流动中的神。因此，神的灵乃是为著将神应用在我们身上。
1We have seen that the gospel of God is the gospel of sonship. This means that God’sin tent i on is to produce many sons through the gospel. For the producing of these many sons, the economy of the three Persons of the Godhead is involved. The Father as the source is in the Son, who is the course, and the Son as the embodiment of the Father is now in the flow of the Spirit. The Spirit is thus the current of the Triune God. Just as electrical current is electricity in motion, so the Spirit of the Triune God is God in motion. Hence, the Spirit of God is for the application of God to us
神圣水流的涌流
THE FLOWING OF THE DIVINE CURRENT
2那灵是水流，是涌流；离了那灵，神就无法应用在我们身上。神是丰富的，祂一切的丰富都是为著我们；但是需要那灵作流，好将神的丰富应用在我们的经历里。那灵的流乃是我们里面膏油的涂抹和运行。神在基督里的一切所是，以及神在基督里所成就、所得著、并所达到的一切，全都在这个水流，这个涌流，这个膏油涂抹里。现今在我们的灵里，有神圣之流的涌流，有膏油的运行。我们里面有个东西不断的运行，这个运行的成分包括神性、人性、基督的人性生活、祂死的功效、复活的大能、复活的馨香、祂的升天、登宝座、为元首、为主、权柄及国度。因此，我们里面的膏油涂抹，乃是包罗万有的膏油。赞美主，这流一直在我们里面涌流！
2Apart from the Spirit as the current, the flow, there is no way for God to be applied to us. God is rich and all His riches are for us; but there is the need of the Spirit as the current for the application of the riches of God to our experience. This flow of the Spirit is the anointing, the moving, of the ointment within us. All that God is in Christ and all that God has accomplished, obtained, and attained in Christ are in this current, this flow, this anointing. Now in our spirit we have the flowing of the divine current, the moving of the ointment. Within us there is something that is constantly in motion. This moving element includes divinity, humanity, Christ’s human living, the effectiveness of His death, the power of His resurrection, the fragrance of His resurrection, His ascension, enthronement, headship, lordship, authority, and kingdom. Thus, the anointing within us is an all-inclusive ointment. Praise the Lord that this current is flowing within us
应用属天的电
APPLYING THE HEAVENLY ELECTRICITY
3我们也已经看过，我们的灵在应用三一神的流这件事上的重要性。我们的灵就像开关一样。我们运用我们的灵，就打开开关，接通了安装在我们里面属天的电。我们若没有开关，或者不知道开关在那里，我们就无法应用电。同样的原则，离了我们的灵这开关，我们就无法应用属天的电。赞美主，我们有开关，我们也知道这开关在那里！这开关乃是在我们全人的内室，就是在我们的灵里。打开电流开关最简单的路，就是呼求主耶稣的名。
3We also have seen the importance of our spirit in applying the current of the Triune God. Our spirit is like a switch. By exercising our spirit, we switch on the heavenly electricity which has been installed into us. If we did not have a switch or did not know where the switch was, we would have no way of applying electricity. In the same principle, apart from the switch of our spirit, we have no way to apply the heavenly electricity. Praise the Lord that we have a switch and that we know where it is! The switch is in the inner chamber of our being, that is, in our spirit. The simplest way to switch on the current is to call on the name of the Lord Jesus.

4保罗在罗马一章九节说，『我在祂儿子的福音上，在我灵里所事奉的神。』事奉神的地方不是心思，乃是我们的灵。人很少说，『我的灵。』他们说到他们的心、他们的魂、他们的心思、他们的情感、他们的意志，却没有说到他们的灵。然而，保罗是一个在他的灵里事奉神的人。我们需要养成说『我的灵』或『我们的灵』的习惯。正如八章十六节所说，『那灵自己同我们的灵见证我们是神的儿女。』我们需要更多说到我们的灵，转向我们的灵，并且在凡事上运用我们的灵。
4In 1:9 Paul said, “For God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the gospel of His Son.” The place to serve God is not the mind; it is our spirit. People rarely say “my spirit.” They speak of their heart, their soul, their mind, their emotion, and their will, but not of their spirit. However, Paul was a person who served God in his spirit. We need to develop the habit of saying “my spirit” or “our spirit.” As 8:16 says, “The Spirit Himself witnesses with our spirit that we are the children of God.” We need to speak more about our spirit, turn to our spirit, and use our spirit in all things
5有些人在聚会中不祷告，也不尽功用，原因就是他们不运用他们的灵。许多人来聚会的时候，好像把他们的灵留在家里一样。他们和保罗太不相同了；保罗在他身体不在的时候，仍然能彀在他的灵里参加召会的聚会。（林前五3。）我们在聚会中不尽功用，是因为我们不运用我们的灵。同样，我们在日常生活中遭遇许多的失败，也是因著我们不运用我们的灵。例如，我们会发脾气或下沉，是因为我们没有运用我们的灵。同样的原则，我们也许无法明白神的旨意，或者不能从主的话中得著生命，也是因为我们的灵缺少操练而变得迟钝。我们只要运用灵，一切的难处就全都解决，一切的需要也都满足。神的一切所是以及祂一切所成就的，全都在包罗万有的灵里，而这灵已经安装在我们的灵里。因此，我们藉著转向我们的灵，并运用我们的灵，就得著全备的供应，满足我们的需要。
5The reason certain ones do not pray or function in the meetings is that they do not exercise their spirit. Many seem to leave their spirit at home when they come to the meetings. How different they are from Paul, who could attend a church meeting in his spirit even when he was not physically present (1 Cor. 5:3). We do not function in the meetings because we do not exercise our spirit. Likewise, we have many failures in our daily living because we fail to use our spirit. For example, we lose our temper or become depressed because we do not exercise our spirit. In the same principle, we may be unable to know the will of God or to obtain life from the Word because our spirit is dull from lack of exercise. All our problems are solved and all our needs are met through the exercise of our spirit. All that God is and all that He has accomplished are in the all- inclusive Spirit who has been installed in our spirit. Therefore, by turning to our spirit and by exercising our spirit, we may obtain the full supply to meet our need

WHAT WE NEED TODAY
6藉著多年的经历与受苦，我学习知道我们今天所需要的，不是道理的知识，乃是运用我们的灵，好叫我们能在圣灵的流中经历三一神的应用。我得救之后，加入一个基督徒团体，他们非常强调客观的查经。我留在他们的影响之下，甘心学习查读圣经，足足有七年多的时间。但有一天我走在街上的时候，里面的那灵对我说，『你懂得这么多的教训，但是你看看，你是多么死沉、不结果子。已过的几年，你几乎没有带领一个人归主。』我的心极受责备；我向主呼喊，求祂怜悯。我承认自己错了。第二天清晨，我爬上我家附近的一座山，在那里呼求主，为自己的死沉求主的怜悯。主真是满有怜悯；从那时起，祂就使我不断的寻求祂。后来，倪柝声弟兄来到我的家乡，和我住了一段时间。他的来访成了我一生的转捩点。那时，我的眼睛得开启，看见基督徒的生活不是一件知识的事，而完全是一件生命与那灵的事。但我还是花了一段很长的时间，才完完全全从死知识的影响之下得释放。这种知识一旦进到我们里面，就很难除去。因此，当我说今天我们所需要的不仅是知识，更是要接触活的灵，我知道我说的是甚么。
6Through many years of experience and suffering, I have learned that what we need today is not the knowledge of doctrine, but the exercise of our spirit so that we may experience the application of the Triune God in the flow of the Holy Spirit. After I was saved, I joined a group of Christians who emphasized the objective study of the Bible. I remained under their influence as a willing learner for more than seven years. But one day as I was walking on the street, the Spirit within said to me, “You know so many teachings, but look how dead and unfruitful you are. In the past several years you have brought almost no one to the Lord.” My heart was smitten, and I cried to the Lord for His mercy. I admitted that I was wrong. Early the next day, I climbed a mountain near my home, and there I cried out to the Lord to have mercy on me because of my deadness. The Lord was merciful, and from that time He caused me to seek Him in a consistent way. After that, brother Watchman Nee visited my home town and stayed with me for a while. His visit was a turning point in my life. My eyes were opened to see that the Christian life is not a matter of knowledge, but absolutely a matter of life and the Spirit. However, it took me a long time to become entirely free from the influence of dead knowledge. Once this kind of knowledge gets into us, it is hard to get it out. Therefore, when I say that what we need today is not mere knowledge but the contact with the living Spirit, I know what I am talking about.
7基督的一切所是，以及祂所成就、所得著、并所达到的一切，全都在包罗万有的灵里。这灵包含了我们所需的一切─复活、能力、生命、引导、光、爱、以及谦卑等等。不仅如此，这位奇妙、包罗万有的灵已经安装在我们的灵里。阿利路亚，这位活的基督，就是包罗万有的灵，乃是在我们的灵里！我们只要用我们的灵，就可以应用这奇妙丰富的一位。内住之灵的丰富
7All that Christ is, all that He has accomplished, and all that He has obtained and attained are in the all-inclusive Spirit. This Spirit contains everything we need: resurrection, power, life, guidance, light, love, humility. Furthermore, this wonderful all-inclusive Spirit has been installed in our spirit. Hallelujah, the living Christ who is the all-inclusive Spirit is in our spirit! We can apply this wonderfully rich One simply by using our spirit. THE RICHNESS OF THE INDWELLING SPIRIT

11在那灵里我们有自由。罗马八章二节说，生命之灵的律释放了我们，使我们脱离了罪与死的律。同章二十一节说到神儿女之荣耀的自由。我们今天正在得著自由的过程中。整个宇宙及其中的一切，都在被奴役的光景里。在罗马八章，这个奴役，这种捆绑，称作败坏的奴役。万物皆有一死，因为牠们被这败坏的奴役所拘禁。但那灵正在释放我们脱离这奴役。有一天，我们要完全脱离败坏的奴役，完满的进入荣耀的自由。
11In the Spirit we have freedom. Romans 8:2 says that the law of the Spirit of life has freed us from the law of sin and of death. Verse 21 of the same chapter speaks of the freedom of the glory of the children of God. Today we are in the process of becoming free. The entire universe with everything in it is in a state of slavery. In Romans 8 this slavery, this bondage, is called the slavery of corruption. Things die because they are held by this slavery of corruption. But the Spirit is setting us free from this slavery. One day we shall be fully out of the slavery of corruption and fully into the freedom of glory.

12Today we also enjoy the Spirit as a foretaste (8:23). We need to learn to have a greater appreciation for the Spirit as a foretaste. How sweet, tender, and enjoyable this foretaste is to us
儿子名分
Sonship
13我们在那灵里所有的儿子名分（八）包括许多项目：儿子的生命、儿子的范围、儿子的地位、儿子的生活、儿子的享受、儿子的长子名分、儿子的基业、以及儿子的显出。我们有这样包罗一切的儿子名分在我们的灵里。我们若不在灵里，就会失去对儿子名分的享受。我们在等候完满的儿子名分时，应当天天操练我们的灵来享受儿子名分。
13The sonship we have in the Spirit (8:15) includes a number of items: the life of the son, the sphere of 15 the son, the position of the son, the living of the son, the enjoyment of the son, the birthright of the son, the inheritance of the son, and the manifestation of the son. We have such an all-inclusive sonship in our spirit. If we stay away from the spirit, we are kept from the enjoyment of the sonship. However, as we are waiting for the full sonship, we should daily enjoy the sonship by exercising our spirit.
那灵的引导
The Leading of the Spirit
14八章十四节说，『因为凡被神的灵引导的，都是神的儿子。』这里说到那灵的引导。我们这些神的儿子都有那灵的引导。有个东西在我们里面自然而然、不知不觉的尽功用，将主的引导带给我们。但我们需要合作，要注意这个引导，尊重这个引导。有时候我们说，我们不明白那灵的引导，其实我们深处十分清楚。我们心思里也许不知道，但我们灵里却明白。你也许不清楚，究竟有没有主的引导去参加某一个活动。不要来问我你当作甚么，因为我会告诉你，在你的灵里有圣灵的引导。你既然已有那灵的引导，你就该简单的尊重并顺从这引导。
14Romans 8:14 says, “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.” Here we have the leading of the Spirit. As sons of God, we have the Spirits leading. We have something that functions within us spontaneously and automatically to give us the Lord’s leading. However, we need to cooperate by paying attention to this leading and by honoring it. Sometimes we say that we do not know the Spirit’s leading, when deep within we know it quite well. We may not know it in the mind, but we know it in our spirit. Perhaps you are wondering whether or not you have the Lord’s leading to participate in a certain activity. Do not come to me and ask me what you should do, for I shall tell you that within your spirit you have the leading of the Holy Spirit. Since you already have the Spirit’s leading, you should simply honor it and obey it
作见证
Witnessing
15八章十六节说，『那灵自己同我们的灵见证我们是神的儿女。』这节经文指明我们有那灵作见证。那灵见证我们是神的儿女。不仅如此，那灵还见证我们这些神的儿女不该穿某种衣服，也不该去某些属世的场所。许多时候，这个见证很困扰我们。一面，这见证向我们保证，我们是神的儿女。但另一面，每当我们作一些与神的儿女不相配的事情时，这见证就定罪我们。这指明作神的儿女是要受限制、受约束的。但这个限制和约束不是受苦，乃是保护。感谢主，因著那灵在里面作见证，我们就得蒙保守与保护。
15Romans 8:16 says, “The Spirit Himself witnesses with our spirit that we are the children of God.” This verse indicates that we have the witnessing of the Spirit. The Spirit witnesses that we are God’s children. Furthermore, the Spirit bears witness that, as the children of God, we should not wear certain kinds of clothing or go to certain worldly places. Many times this witness bothers us. On the one hand, it assures us that we are children of God. But on the other hand, it convicts us when we do things that are not in keeping with being a child of God. This indicates that to be a child of God is to be limited and restricted. However, this limitation and restriction are not a suffering, but a protection. Thank the Lord that we are preserved and protected by the inner witnessing of the Spirit.
代求
Interceding
16八章二十六至二十七节说到那灵的代求。那灵常用叹气或叹息来为我们代求，尤其是当我们要去作不讨主喜悦的事情时。那灵代求的目的，是要我们模成基督的形像。为这缘故，二十七节说，那灵照著神为圣徒代求。当我们作一些不能帮助我们模成基督形像的事情时，那灵就在我们里面叹息。因著那灵的叹息，基督徒的生活并不总是喜乐的，因为我们作某些事情的时候，里面会受搅扰。世人可以参加某种属世的娱乐而感到快乐，但我们若有分于那种娱乐，里面就会深受搅扰。我们每作一些不符合神圣素质（也就是不符合圣别）的事，或不能帮助我们模成基督形像的事情时，那灵就会叹息。
16In 8:26 and 27 we have the interceding of the Spirit. Often the Spirit intercedes with sighs or groanings, especially when we are about to do something displeasing to the Lord. The purpose of the Spirit’s intercession is that we would be conformed to the image of Christ. For this reason, verse 27 says that the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to God. When we do something that does not help to conform us to the image of Christ, the Spirit groans within us. Because of the Spirit’s groaning, the Christian life is not always a life of joy, for we are inwardly troubled when we do certain things. The people in the world may participate in a particular form of worldly entertainment and be happy about it. But if we share in that form of entertainment, we shall feel deeply troubled within. The Spirit groans concerning anything we do that does not correspond to the divine essence, that is, to holiness, or that does not help to conform us to the image of Christ
17二十八节说，神使万有互相效力，叫爱神的人得益处，就是按祂旨意被召的人。本节的『万有』，与二十六至二十七节那灵的代求有关。因著那灵的代求，许多的事物就互相效力，为叫我们得益处。例如，你若随意的花钱，不能用得合式来为著主的权益，这会叫那灵用叹息来代求。结果父会答应那灵的代求，叫你缺少钱用。这种财务的困难会帮助你模成神儿子的形像。我们宣告万有都互相效力，叫人得益处，并不是在我们享受物质利益的时候，乃是在我们景况为难的时候。神重生我们，不是要我们享受世界；祂重生我们，乃是叫我们成为祂的众子。我们要达到完满的儿子名分，就需要那灵的代求。
17Verse 28 says that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to the purpose. The “all things” in this verse are related to the interceding of the Spirit in verses 26 and 27. Because the Spirit intercedes, so many things work together for good on our behalf. For example, suppose you spend your money in a loose way and do not use it properly for the Lord’sin te rest. This will cause the Spirit to intercede with groanings. Eventually, the Father will answer the Spirit’s intercession by causing you to have a shortage of money. This financial difficulty will help to conform you to the image of the Son of God. The time to declare that all things work together for good is not when we are enjoying material benefits, but when our situation is difficult. God did not regenerate us so that we might enjoy the world. He regenerated us so that we might become His sons. In order for us to reach the full sonship, we need the Spirit’s interceding

18其次是那灵的更新。藉著那灵的更新，我们就有六章四节的生命的新样。我们都应当在这种生命的新样里生活行动。
18Next we have the renewing of the Spirit. It is by this renewing of the Spirit that we have the newness of life in 6:4. We all should walk in this newness

接触那灵
CONTACTING THE SPIRIT
22我们是否明白这一切项目并不太要紧。只要我们在那灵里，就有这一切的实际。例如，你可能不知道你所吃的食物里有些甚么成分，但是你吃下去，就吸收了所有的成分。重要的不是懂得烹调法，乃是去吃这些食物。我再说，今天我们所需要的，不是更多的教训，乃是应用并享受那包罗万有的灵。教训不能使我们属灵或谦卑。我们惟有运用我们的灵来接触那灵，才能彀属灵，并且真实的谦卑。
22It does not matter very much whether we understand all these items or not. As long as we are in the Spirit, we have the reality of them all. For example, you may not know what ingredients are in the food you eat, but by eating you take in all the ingredients. What is important is not that we know the recipe, but that we eat the food. Again I say, our need today is not for more teachings; it is for the application and enjoyment of the all-inclusive Spirit. Teachings cannot make us spiritual or humble. We become spiritual and truly humble only by contacting the Spirit through the exercise of our spirit
23照著调和的灵而行繙译英文圣经的人很难决定，八章的灵字要不要用大写字母。原因在于这一章所说的灵乃是调和的灵，是圣灵调和了我们人的灵。因此，八章所说的照著灵而行，就是照著调和的灵而行。我们应当天天紧紧联于这调和的灵，照著这灵作一切事。每当我们照著肉体而行，不论我们看自己是好是坏，我们都是罪人。但我们不必照著肉体而行，因为我们可以选择照著灵而行。我们一照著灵而行，就享受基督一切的丰富。我们天天都需要操练照著灵行事为人。我们需要将这个应用在我们的说话上、思想上、以及我们所作的一切事上。例如，一位年轻人不清楚到底能不能参加某一种体育活动。我给他的劝告是：如果他能彀照著灵参加那项体育活动，他就可以参加。我们基督徒不该照著对错来决定事情；相反的，我们应当照著灵来决定事情。
23WALKING ACCORDING TO THE MINGLED SPIRIT Translators have a difficult time deciding whether or not to use a capital letter for the word for Spirit in chapter eight. The reason is that the Spirit in this chapter is the mingled spirit, the Holy Spirit mingled with our human spirit. Therefore, to walk according to the spirit in chapter eight is to walk according to the mingled spirit. Day by day we should cleave to the mingled spirit and do everything according to this spirit. Whenever we walk according to the flesh we are sinners, no matter whether we regard ourselves as good or bad. But we need not walk according to the flesh, for we have the option of walking according to the spirit. When we do this, we enjoy all the riches of Christ. We daily need to practice having our being according to the spirit. We need to apply this in our talking, in our thinking, and in everything we do. For example, suppose a young one is wondering whether he can participate in a certain kind of athletic activity. My advice to him would be that if he can participate in that athletic activity according to the spirit, then he should go ahead and do so. As Christians, we should not decide matters according to right or wrong; rather, we should decide them according to the spirit.
24与我们的灵调和以及我们可以照著来生活行动的那灵，乃是三一神奇妙的灵。这位灵是三一神的实化与应用，如今已与我们的灵调和。罗马八章不再只有神圣的灵或是人的灵，乃是神圣的灵调和了人的灵。为著这奇妙的调和，阿利路亚！
24The Spirit who is mingled with our spirit and according to whom we may have our very being is the wonderful Spirit of the Triune God. Such a Spirit, the realization and application of the Triune God, is now mingled with our spirit. In Romans 8 it is no longer a matter of simply the divine Spirit nor of just the human spirit, but it is a matter of the divine Spirit mingled with the human spirit. Hallelujah for this marvelous mingling
与召会的建造
AND THE BUILDING UP OF THE CHURCH
25虽然有这样一个奇妙的调和之灵在我们里面，我们却可能不太在意这灵。但我信在主的恢复里，主要恢复照著调和之灵而行这件事。没有这个，就不可能有正当的召会生活。我们若不照著灵生活行动，就不能成为召会生活的帮助。我们若不知道如何帮助人照著灵行事为人，那么不论我们传讲、教导或供应多少，召会都不能得著建造。算得了数的不是教训，乃是我们照著调和的灵生活，并且帮助别人也照著调和的灵生活。在调和的灵里，我们享受基督的丰富，我们也得著召会成为基督身体真正的彰显。我们越照著灵而行，召会就越实际的建造起来。
25But although we have such a wonderful mingled spirit within us, we may not care for this spirit very much. But I believe that in the Lord’s recovery the Lord will recover the matter of walking according to the mingled spirit. Without this, it is impossible to have the proper church life. If we do not live and walk according to the spirit, we cannot be a help to the church life. If we do not know how to help others have their being according to the spirit, the church will not be built up, no matter how much we may preach, teach, or minister. What counts is not teaching, but our living according to the mingled spirit and our helping others to do the same thing. Here in the mingled spirit we enjoy the riches of Christ, and here we have the church as the genuine expression of the Body of Christ. The more we walk according to the spirit, the more the church will be built up in a practical way
包罗万有之灵的分赐
THE DISPENSATION of the all-inclusive Spirit
26八章四至五节给了我们经历基督与召会生活的钥匙：照著调和的灵而行。基督的一切所是并一切所作，全都在这调和的灵里。我们的灵已经得蒙重生，现今有这奇妙的赐生命之灵住在其中。不仅如此，我们的灵也与这包罗万有的灵调和。不要专注于你的软弱或弱点，只要注意你所拥有的美妙产业─那住在你重生之灵里的包罗万有之灵。今天我们是活在包罗万有之灵的分赐里。神圣的调配香料者已经复合了这膏油，我们现今有这膏油的涂抹在我们里面，在我们的灵里。每一个重生的人，都有这包罗万有的灵内住并调和在他的灵里。今天我们只需要运用我们的灵，打开属天电源的开关。我们能彀摸著主是赐生命的灵，并且享受祂，不是靠教导，乃是靠打开开关。我们使用开关，就能彀照著调和的灵而行。
26Romans 8:4 and 5 give us the key to the experience of Christ and the church life: walking according to the mingled spirit. All that Christ is and all that He has done is in this mingled spirit. Our spirit has been regenerated, and now it is indwelt by the wonderful life - giving Spirit. Furthermore, it is mingled with this all-inclusive Spirit. Do not be occupied with your weaknesses or infirmities, but pay attention to the marvelous heritage you have—the all-inclusive Spirit indwelling your regenerated spirit. Today we are living in the dispensation of the all-inclusive Spirit. The ointment has been compounded by the divine perfumer, and we now have the anointing of the ointment within us, in our spirit. Every regenerated person has had his spirit indwelt by and mingled with the all - inclusive Spirit. All we need today is to exercise our spirit to switch on the heavenly electricity. It is by switching on, not by teachings, that we touch the Lord as the life-giving Spirit and enjoy Him. It is by using the switch that we walk according to the mingled spirit.
27标出为神儿子的路我们曾经指出，按肉体说，甚至主耶稣也需要标出为神的儿子。祂在还未标出之前，按肉体说，只是大卫的后裔；在祂所是的那一部分里，祂还不是神的儿子。但是按圣别的灵说，祂藉著复活，就标出为神的儿子。同样的原则，按肉体说，我们都是罪人。但我们既已得蒙重生，就能彀照著灵行事为人。我们越照著调和的灵而行，就越经历标出的过程。一天过一天，我们得以复活、圣别、变化、得荣。标出为神儿子的路，不是得著更多的教训，乃是照著调和的灵行事为人。
27THE WAY TO BE DESIGNATED SONS OF GOD We have pointed out that even the Lord Jesus according to the flesh had to be designated the Son of God. Before His designation, according to the flesh He was just the seed of David; in that part of His being He was not yet the Son of God. But by resurrection He was designated the Son of God according to the Spirit of holiness. In the same principle, according to the flesh we are sinners. But now that we have been regenerated, we can have our being according to the spirit. The more we walk according to the mingled spirit, the more we undergo the process of designation. Day by day, we are resurrected, sanctified, transformed, and glorified. The way to be designated sons of God is not to acquire more teachings. It is to have our being according to the mingled spirit
